After 15 years of being a Personal Fitness Trainer, I felt it was time to expand my career and take it to the next level. Although I was very happy and successful in my business, I wanted more for myself and my clients. Being that I work with many injured clients, mainly with back injuries, I knew that my new path would have to include everyone from the young healthy athlete to the most frail and injured. I researched and thought heavily about my options and Pilates was always at the top of my list; but not just Pilates, BASI Pilates.
I signed up for the full BASI program knowing that I would be fully committed to learning and completing all the requirements. What I didn’t know was that the journey I was about to embark on would become so much more than just book work or learning exercises and protocols. It was also about building new relationships, creating new experiences and being part of a family.
Going through and completing the BASI Pilates program was a life changing experience not only for my career but on a personal level as well. Practicing Pilates has made me physically and mentally stronger. It has enabled me to connect with myself and my body in a whole new way by pushing me to a higher level and taking me out of my comfort zone.
I feel fortunate and proud to be a part of the BASI family and look forward to what’s ahead as my journey with BASI has just begun.
