Form and function are two concepts that share a symbiotic relationship; they feed each other and cannot exist without each other. In this workshop we explore the specific and particular form of certain movements and its importance as it relates to function in everyday life and athletic activities. At times the classical form of exercises has been changed based on function in contemporary society. Rael will discuss his personal journey of discovery and the path that led him to address nuances in certain Pilates movements, and introduce changes, that have become the standard in the BASI Pilates approach. His journey included two rotator cuff surgeries that played a profound role on his path to discovery.
